Before getting into the process, please make sure you activate enhanced ecommerce. And you need to push ecommerce tracking code on the website.
(Remember, this tracking code is a custom code that a developer creates for your website.)
Follow these steps to track the most-selling products in Google Analytics:
Step 1 : Go to ‘Reports.’
Step 2 : Click on ‘Monetisation
Step 3: Go to the ‘Ecommerce Purchases’ section.
Now the report will come up on your screen showing the metrics.
You can also click on any dimensions to sort a particular dimension from highest to the lowest order or the vice versa.
The dimensions uses are as follows:
|Item Views||The number of times the Item details were viewed.|
|Add-to-Carts||The number of times the users added items to their shopping cart.|
|Cart-to-view-rate||The number of users who added a product(s) to their cart divided by the number of users who viewed the same product(s).|
|E Commerce Purchases||The number of times users completed a purchase.|
|Purchase-to-view-rate||The number of users who purchased a product(s) divided by the number of users who viewed the same product(s).|
|Item purchased quantity||The number of units for a single item included in purchase events|
|Item revenue||The total revenue from items only excluding tax and shipping.|
