How to Grant Access to Other Users in GA4?

Google Analytics 4 allows the user to grant access to other users so that they can also access the data, or give them more permissions to perform operations like manage users, edit settings, etc. Granting access is the safest way to share the website’s data without having to share the login details.

Here’s how to grant access to other users in GA4:

Step 1: Go to ‘Admin’ and click on ‘Property Access Management’ (for a single property) or click on ‘Account Access Management’ (for multiply properties).

Step 2: Click on the ‘Plus icon’ and enter the Email ID or Email IDs for adding more than one user at a time.

(Always keep the Notify Box checked)

Step 3: Next, select the standard role you want to give to the users from the given options:-

  • Administrator – This user has full control over your GA4 account including authority to grant user permissions to other people.
  • Editor – This user can make any change on the property but is not allowed to give access to others.
  • Analyst – This user can create, edit, and delete certain property assets.
  • Viewer – This user has only view access and cannot make changes to the property assets.
  • None – This user does not have any role for this resource.

Step 4: Click on the ‘Add’ button.

Now the new user is added to the list.

If you want to remove an existing user follow these steps :

Step 1: Click on the three dots button in front of the user name.

Step 2: Select the Remove Access option and confirm by clicking on the ‘Remove’ button.

Now the particular user is removed and cannot access the data.
