How to Exclude Internal Traffic in GA4?

When we work on GA4 and study our data, we came to know that this data includes our own interactions or activities as well. This can cause a misinterpretation of the data. To avoid such a situation in GA4, there is a very simple solution.

All you have to do is to exclude your internal traffic, which means the elimination of the data which is coming up from your side or from your company’s employees.

Let’s check how we can do it:

Step 1: Go to the admin

Step 2: Click on the Data Stream

Step 3: Select the Data Stream

Step 4: Go to the More Tagging Settings

Step 5: Then select the Define Internal Traffic section

Step 6: Click on the Create Button

Step 7: Fill up your Name, Traffic Type, and IP address

Step 8: Click on Create Button

Now that your data is free from internal traffic, you have now a piece of clear and correct information about your website.

We hope this content is helpful to you.
